September 20th Construction Update

Phase 1 seeding was complete last week as the contractor added topsoil, seed mix, and fiber mulch. Phase 1 is now considered substantially complete. If you have any comments or concerns in Phase 1 please do not hesitate to call Josh at (605)-759-6158.

Phase 2 and Phase 3 have been in full swing with concrete work. The contractor is going to bottom lift Phase 2 today and they are estimating that the top lift will be completed on Friday afternoon. If traffic control is still in place once the asphalt is complete, please do not remove the barricades as the contractor will remove the barricades once they are ready for the road to be opened up to traffic. The contractor also plans to do the bottom lift in Phase 3 prior to concrete work. Phase 3 will still be closed to traffic once the bottom lift is in. Concrete work and the top lift will need to be complete in order for the contractor to open it to through traffic.

Storm sewer was finished at the end of last week. Throughout this week, the storm sewer boxes will be formed up and poured. The only utility that is left in Phase 5 is the underdrain which will begin once unclassified excavation is complete. The contractor is estimating that concrete work will begin in Phase 5 on October 9th.

If you have any questions regarding the Central Basin Phase 4 project, please do not hesitate to call Josh at (605)-759-6158.
